negative ( Latin negatum "negates" to negare ) stands for:
- in mathematics below zero, see negative number
- in physics an electrical charge with a negative sign
- in electrical engineering a certain side of the voltage

- in colloquial language, an expression for something unpleasant, undesirable or displeasing
