Nejishiki
Nejishiki ( Japanese ね じ 式 , German about "With a screw") is a short manga story by the Japanese illustrator Yoshiharu Tsuge (including Munō no Hito ). It is considered the most famous work of Tsuge, making it one of the most important works of alternative manga .
A volume with 15 short stories by Tsuge was also published in the 1980s under the title Nejishiki . The short stories in this volume were published between 1965 and 1984 - mostly in the Japanese manga magazine Garo . Nejishiki itself was written for Garo in June 1968 and tells of a dream that Tsuge had. The surrealist work enthusiastic shortly after its release critics and prompted the publication of numerous secondary literature.
In 1998 the manga was filmed under the direction of Teruo Ishii with Tadanobu Asano and Miki Fujitani .
Nejishiki was very influential. Manga artist Imiri Sakabashira gave up his job as a businessman and decided to become a comic artist after reading the short story.
