Nechepsos
Nechepsus (also Nekauba ) was after Manetho the third “king” of the “ Protosaite dynasty ”, which is set before the beginning of the 26th dynasty . Nechepsus probably ruled from 687 to 671 BC. With a duration of 16 years. The six years mentioned by Manetho are to be corrected by ten years according to Kenneth A. Kitchen .
Nechepso's throne name is only recorded on a fragment of the menite . It is possible that the birth name " Menibre " or " Iriibre " mentioned on scarabs can be assigned to him. Nechepsus is considered a local vassal of the 25th Dynasty .
