The necropolis of La Polera ( Spanish Castro-necrópolis La Polera ) is located next to the Hermitage in Merindad de Rio Ubierna , about 15 km from Burgos , in Castile and León in Spain .

The burial ground, with around 100 burial mounds, dates from the Iron Age (5th - 4th century BC). The eroded mounds consist of preserved outer knee-high or lower stone circles with diameters between 2.0 and 5.5 m. Near the center there is sometimes a small menhir , and in the middle is the urn with the charred bones and the uniform, extensive grave goods . In some cases the center is surrounded by a small inner stone circle, sometimes covered by a plate.

The hand-made, biconical, dark, tall urns with a wide rim ( bitroncocónico ) are characteristic. As a decoration there are furrows indented horizontally with four fingers in the upper half, while the rest of the body has finger decorations or small vertical lines. The additions consist of various metal objects: brooches , brooches , knives , shields , swords and spearheads . The coronation is a double feather brooch with a turtle shell.
