Pedras Serradas necropolis

The necropolis of Pedras Serradas is an archaeological site on the limestone slopes of the collection of the same name near Florina in the province of Sassari in Sardinia . The necropolis consists of five Domus de Janas , located high above the valley of S'Elighe Entosu, which also gave its name to the nearby necropolis of S'Elighe Entosu . The graves date from the Bronze Age .

description

In contrast to the Domus de Janas of the necropolis of S'Elighe Entosu with numerous ancillary chambers, the burial places of Pedras Serras have a simple floor plan. They consist of an anteroom to which a main chamber adjoins. Only Tomba I has an additional side chamber that is accessible from the main chamber. Tomba II has only one cell, at the back of which there is a niche that can be accessed through a double-framed door.
