Nele Sommer (born December 27, 1990 in Munich ) is a German actress .

Biography & career

From 2011 to 2015 she completed her acting training at the Ernst Busch Academy of Dramatic Arts in Berlin. During her studies she played at the Deutsches Theater Berlin in the play Tales from Hier IV: Was uns haben (Direction: Frank Abt).

From the 2015/2016 season she was engaged for three years at the Pfalztheater in Kaiserslautern. There she played u. a. Shen Te / Shui Ta in The Good Man of Sezuan , Eve in The Broken Jug , Una in Blackbird and Anne Frank in The Diary of Anne Frank .

In 2015 she played a leading role in the film Vitches (director: Maria Neheimer), which premiered at the 2016 Max Ophüls Preis film festival .

In 2018 she played Lammchen in Little Man - what now? (Director: Susanne Schmelcher) at the Theater im Bauturm in Cologne. The play was nominated for the Cologne Theater Prize and the Kurt Hackenberg Prize for Political Theater.

Sommer lives in Cologne.
