Nemak is a Mexican aluminum processor that develops and manufactures products for the automotive industry. Nemak primarily manufactures engine blocks , cylinder heads and structural components made of aluminum.

In 2019, Nemak employed around 22,000 people in 38 production plants in 16 countries. The company's customers include a large number of international automotive groups. With a stake of 75.24%, Grupo Alfa is Nemak's largest shareholder. While Ford Motor Company holds a further 5.45% of the company's shares, the remaining 19.31% are in free float .

Nemak in Germany

Nemak has three locations in Germany. In Dillingen / Saar , Nemak Dillingen Casting GmbH & Co. KG mainly produces cylinder blocks. In 2019, 548 employees generated sales of around EUR 263 million. In 2019, Nemak Pilsting GmbH achieved sales of around EUR 14 million with 87 employees, while Nemak Wernigerode GmbH achieved a sales volume of EUR 226 million in 2018 with 328 employees.
