Career

After successfully attending a mathematical and natural science high school, Bogdanović studied electrical engineering from 1978 to 1981 and graduated with a diploma.

After graduating, he worked for two decades in research and development in the telecommunications sector , later with managerial tasks, first at the Mihajlo Pupin Institute and later in other companies in this branch. In 1989 he was appointed director of joint investments of GTE Telecommunications and EI Pupin. From 1991 he was commercial director and from 1996 general director of the Alcatel Pupin Jugoslavija joint venture .

In 1992 he became a member of the Democratic Party (DS). The following year he was elected by the party to chair the Zemun committee , vice-chairman of the city committee and party chairman for Belgrade.

Since then, as head of the city's crisis team, he has held "the strings of anarchic post-revolutionary Belgrade" in hand, as noted in the first biographical newspaper article after his election.

He learned the trade of city administration as the deputy chairman of the expert "Government for Belgrade" of the Democratic Party and the GSS (Serbian Citizens' Union). Friends and co-workers, but also his political opponents, described him as a level-headed, reserved, precise and very energetic man.

Bogdanović died of cancer in September 2007 at the age of 53.
