The park is bordered in the north by the Nero valley with the Nerobergbahn and in the south by the war memorial and the Taunusstrasse. The streets Nerotal south and Nerotal north run to the left and right . The monument made of shell limestone has stood at the entrance to the Nerotal facilities since 1909. It was designed by the sculptor Franz Pritel based on a design by Karl Krause and is intended to commemorate the battles won in the Franco-German War at Wörth and Weißenburg, Sedan and Paris.

The Schwarzbach flows through the Nerotal systems . The stream was dammed into ponds in some places and the watercourse was provided with large stone blocks and waterfalls. With its numerous chestnut trees, it is regarded as a typical landscape park of its time and in the park there are meadows, a children's playground and a memorial in honor of Bismarck and Carl Koch , advisers of the city of Wiesbaden on issues of drinking water supply and state geologist.
