A muscle fascicle.
Nerve fascicle.

In anatomy and histology, substructures consisting of several nerve or muscle fibers are referred to as fasciculus ( plural fasciculi ), also called fascicles ( dt. 'Small bundle', 'parcel'; engl. Fascicle ) . The substructure is a bundle of several individual fibers. Nerve fibers are also referred to as a nerve fascicle and muscle fibers as a muscle fascicle .

In nerve fibers, the individual fascicles are surrounded by what is known as the perineurium , a connective tissue rich in collagen. In muscle fibers, the perimysium fulfills this function.
