Nesøya (loosely translated from Norwegian headland island or Kapinsel ) is an island off the Prince Harald Coast of the East Antarctic Queen Maud Lands . It belongs to the Flatvær archipelago and is located on the east side of the entrance to Lützow-Holm-Bucht .
Norwegian cartographers mapped it in 1946 using aerial photographs taken during the Lars Christensen Expedition in 1936/37 , and gave it a descriptive name.
