Nes (Vagur)
Nes [ neːs ] near Vágur ( Danish name : Næs ) is a place in the Faroe Islands on the island of Suðuroy . There is also a place of the same name on the island of Eysturoy , see: Nes (Eysturoy) .

Nes is now considered a suburb of Vágur, the second largest city on the south island of the archipelago at Vágsfjørður . According to tradition, there were disputes over field boundaries here in the 15th century , which were decided by a wrestling match.
