Nestorov Island ( English ; Bulgarian Несторов остров Nestorow Ostrow ) is a rocky island in the south-east-northwest orientation 374 m long, 120 m wide and rocky in the archipelago of the Southern Orkney Islands . It is 0.54 km southeast of the tip of Cape Bennett and 3 km northwest of Rayner Point off the north coast of Coronation Island .
British scientists mapped them in 1963. The Bulgarian Commission for Antarctic Geographical Names named them in 2019 after Captain Ivan Nestorov (1942-2001), who in 1985 wrote a report on Bulgarian fisheries in the South Atlantic including South Georgia and the South Orkney Islands.
