Netzdurchblick is an Internet guide for children and young people between the ages of 12 and 16 years. Netzdurchblick was created as part of a seminar at the Hamburg University of Applied Sciences under the direction of Hans-Dieter Kübler and on behalf of the Hamburg / Schleswig-Holstein Media Authority .

history

The Internet guide Netzdurchblick was launched in 2009 by the Institute for Media and Communication Research. Since then, Netzdurchblick has been further developed in several semester projects at the University of Applied Sciences Hamburg by students from the Information Department and supplemented with new content. In addition to the website, Netzdurchblick also organizes events for schoolchildren and has been publishing its own school calendar since 2013. The internet advisor is financed by the Medienanstalt Hamburg / Schleswig-Holstein . In addition, Netzdurchblick is supported by the Hamburg Youth Information Center (JIZ) and works with the JIZ in many areas.

Project content

The Netzdurchblick platform offers a wealth of information, tips and tricks on the subject of the Internet. Netzdurchblick helps children and young people how to properly protect their PC, teaches them about web law, data protection and copyright on the Internet, provides information about social networks, how to treat people with respect on the Internet - especially cyber bullying - as well as research opportunities in the world Wide web. In addition to playfully prepared tools and information, dangers and security on the Internet, Netzdurchblick also shows the creative and exciting possibilities of the network. Netzdurchblick recommends apps, websites, games, programs and shows the children how to create comics themselves, edit pictures, cut films and always informs about current topics and new possibilities. In addition, Netzdurchblick has its own games, comics and numerous quizzes on its platform, in which children and young people can test their knowledge in a playful way.
