New book
Neu-Buch is a residential area in the Schwanebeck district in the Brandenburg municipality of Panketal .
The settlement was named after the neighboring village of Buch , which has been part of the Berlin district of Pankow since 1920 . Neu-Buch forms a common settlement area with its old town center, which was expanded after the establishment of the sanatorium in Berlin-Buch from 1898 onwards through several settlement projects and the construction of recreational properties. In addition, many of the buildings were built as makeshift homes during the Second World War . From 1992 the area, which was previously called part of Schwanebeck-West, was opened up by several developers and is now marketed under the name Neu-Buch .
Neu-Buch is served by the Berlin bus route 259 every hour, which provides a connection to Berlin-Buch (also to the Buch S-Bahn station ), as well as to Lindenberg and Berlin-Malchow .
