The Neuburger Kollektaneenblatt is a history magazine that appears annually and is published by the Historisches Verein Neuburg . It offers articles on the history of the city of Neuburg an der Donau , the district of Neuburg-Schrobenhausen (especially the northern part) and the Principality of Pfalz-Neuburg . The magazine first appeared in 1835 and has been annually since then with only a few war-related interruptions. Volume 161 was published in 2013. The title underwent several changes in the spelling and addition to the title ( Collectaneen sheet for the history of the city of Neuburg an der Donau and its surroundings , Kollectaneen sheet for the history of Bavaria, especially the former Duchy of Neuburg etc.). The journal is listed in numerous libraries.

The editions of the Kollektaneenblatt vary in scope and most recently were between 200 and 400 pages long. The volumes from 1835 to 1878 are digitally freely accessible. In addition to renowned regional researchers and nationally recognized historians, university professors are also regularly among the authors of the Neuburger Kollektaneenblatt. Because of the intensive preoccupation with the history of Pfalz-Neuburg and its dynasty, a branch of the Wittelsbach family, the range of topics of the Kollektaneenblatt extends far beyond the Neuburg region. The Neuburg Count Palatine Ottheinrich , Philipp Wilhelm , Johann Wilhelm and Karl Philipp were also Electors of the Palatinate . The last three also named dukes of Jülich and Berg . The articles in the Kollektaneenblatt are therefore not infrequently relevant not only for Bavarian history but also for Upper Rhine and Lower Rhine history. Since the princes from the Neuburg family were also important art collectors and patrons, the Kollektaneenblatt contains numerous important art-historical contributions, for example on architecture, painting, music and the visual arts.
