First, the publishing house Die Neue Sachlichkeit was founded in October 2009 by the German book designer Christopher Schroer. The main focus of the publishing house was on art and artists to be discovered . This division has belonged to Ch. Schroer GmbH since 2012.

One of the main focuses of the Ch. Schroer GmbH publishing program is the debut novels. When the publishing house was founded, the neudeutsch series was launched, which only publishes the first works of German writers .
