The Neue Straße 17 building is a listed residential building in Magdeburg in Saxony-Anhalt .

It is located on the south side of Neue Straße in the Buckau district of Magdeburg . The building, which is also listed, is adjacent to Neue Straße 16 to the west.
Architecture and history
The four and a half story plastered building was built in 1883 by master mason C. Leps for master blacksmith Ferdinand Doempke. The seven-axis facade is representatively designed in the neo-renaissance style. There is a band structure on the ground floor. The window openings on the first floor are provided with segmental arches as window canopies. The house has a mezzanine floor . A side house was also built.
In the local register of monuments , the house is listed as a monument under registration number 094 82623 .
As part of the street line that has been preserved from the Wilhelminian era, the building is characteristic of the street scene and is an example of a typical apartment building from the construction period.
