New technology in the office , subtitle 1957 magazine for office machines, cash registers and office organization , from 1965 magazine for data processing and office machines , from 1973 magazine for information processing , was a German magazine that was dedicated to the topic of office technology and was in the GDR from 1957 to Appeared in 1991. It was published by VEB Kombinat Zentronik and from 1979 by VEB Kombinat Robotron and published by Verlag Technik .

The magazine appeared at least temporarily in German, Russian, English and French and was read in 74 countries. The German edition was initially published monthly, later every two months. In the first year there were ten issues. The pages were numbered continuously. In 1970 it had around 32 pages per issue. The price per issue at the time was 2 marks . The magazine was available from January 1969 through the GDR's postal newspaper distribution.

“The NTB contains exact descriptions and instructions for the rational use of machines and automats for writing, calculating, booking and accounting technology; Explanations of both complex and simple application examples; the basics of modern information about the varied problems of data acquisition and their solution. The NTB is aimed at specialists in machine and electronic data processing, employees in organizational and computer centers, organizers, economists and administrative specialists. The NTB is published by VEB Kombinat ZENTRONIK Erfurt / Sömmerda. "
