The New Henninger Tower is a high-rise residential building in Frankfurt am Main - Sachsenhausen . Its construction began on June 15, 2014 on the site of the former Henninger Tower with the casting of the concrete slab for a 140 meter high building, which is based on the appearance of the Henninger Tower, which was demolished in 2013. The towering, square main body and the round barrel attachment of the former Frankfurt landmark are cited, so that the silhouette of the previous building - viewed from a distance - is almost preserved. In contrast to the original building, the new Henninger tower was placed closer to Hainer Weg, it is also rectangular instead of square and has a square neck instead of the previously round neck, which carries a six-story "barrel" instead of the original three-story barrel. In addition, glass dominates the facade, while the original Henninger tower had a facade largely dominated by flat concrete.
On June 18, 2014, the foundation stone for the new residential tower with 207 luxury apartments was laid according to the plans by Meixner Schlüter Wendt . Actris is the developer . The complete completion of the 150 million cost building was originally supposed to take place in summer 2017, but was delayed until November 2017. The opening of the restaurant "Franziska" with terrace as well as the remaining two of seven commercial areas took place in September 2018, whereby the construction was completed.
On the neighboring site of the former Henninger brewery , around 800 more apartments, social facilities and a shopping center with around 10,000 square meters of usable space will be built at the same time.
