Neufeld (Glücksburg)

Neufeld ( Danish : Nymark ) is a place in the municipality of Glücksburg . In Neufeld there used to be a Meierhof , just like in Meierwik , two kilometers to the west , which is why the place used to be called: Meierhof ( Danish : Mejergaard ) or Neuer Meierhof ( Danish : Ny Mejergaard ).

Neufeld is located on the northern edge of Ulstrupfeld , on the north side of Flensburger Straße that runs from Glücksburg to Wees. To the east of Neufeld lies Ruhetal . To the west and north of Neufeld is the edge of the Tremmerup forest . Incidentally, the Schwennau river undermines Flensburger Strasse directly to the west of the Neufeld houses .

history

In 1582 the local preacher lived there on the farm. In the 18th century the Alte-Meierhof (or Westerwiek) in Glücksburg was closed. The lands southeast of the Tremmeruper forest near Schwennau near Glücksburg were given the name Neufeld in 1773 and were added to the farm there, which was given the name Neuer Meierhof. Shortly afterwards, in 1784, this farm was laid down again and parceled out .

On a map of the Danish land survey from 1857/58 the place, which at that time apparently only consisted of the few buildings of the New Meierhof, was marked under the name Mejergaard. On the map of the Prussian land survey of 1879 the place was recorded as "Neuhof". Around 1890 Neufeld apparently already consisted of several individual houses. The updated area map from 1926 finally showed the place as "Neufeld". The place is consistently named Neufeld on today's area maps.
