The New Year's Ridge is a somewhat isolated mountain ridge in East Antarctic Victoria Land . It rises northeast of the Onlooker Nunatak and northwest of the Alamein Range in the Rennick Glacier .
Scientists from the German expedition GANOVEX III (1982–1983) made his name.
