Nevzat Karakış
Nevzat Karakış (* 1960 in Adilcevaz in Bitlis Province ) is a Turkish protest musician who became famous in the mid- 1980s . The lyrics of his songs are socially critical and political.
Life
He attended elementary and middle school in Adilcevaz and the grammar school in Ankara . At the age of 15 he learned the Bağlama . He worked with Ruhi Su . He made his first solo appearance in 1986 in Istanbul . Karakış released the first album in 1988.
