New Days Delay is a German band that was founded in Bremen in autumn 1999 and uses elements from pop-punk , electro-pop , gothic and surf music . Due to a high concert presence in Germany, Austria, Denmark and Italy, the group quickly became popular. Self-distributed publications New Days Delay previously two EPs from which the club hits Tiny Monsters and Furry Little Creatures and Glass Made Savior emerged. Numerous songs by the group, which are both German and English, have also been published on samplers.
Curiously, the band's first album, Splitterelastisch , was released under the label Dead Center Records in 2005 in the USA, but not in Germany, where the group did not have a label. The album was only available here through mail order companies and stores that import the record, or directly from the label. An official release of the album in Europe was still aimed for. At the end of September 2007 the album was finally officially released in Europe under the label Alice In ... / Broken Silence . The album was given a completely new artwork and booklet.
The group also played at the big festivals of the black scene , such as the Wave-Gotik-Treffen in Leipzig (2004/2008) or the Bats Over Milan Festival in Milan (2007).
At the beginning of 2010 Dennies (guitar) decided to leave New Days Delay and is now pursuing other projects such as his solo project Leaves in Silence. On January 22nd, 2010 Chris took over the position as lead guitarist.
On June 27, 2014, the long awaited second album was released with the name "First the lightning and then".
