New Music Seminar

New Music Seminar , or NMS for short, is a music festival at which the international music industry has met once a year in New York City since 1980 . Over a period of one week there is a program of lectures, meetings, training courses and numerous concerts.

The focus of the festival, which was founded by Tom Silvermann, is pop , rock , punk , hip-hop and R&B . The events are for the most part open to the general public and take place in various New York clubs, where more than 300 bands perform throughout the week.
