New Yiddish Library

The New Yiddish Library ( New Yiddish Library ) is a since 2002 when Yale University Press published series of books with English translations of Yiddish works . It is a joint venture between the Fund for the Translation of Jewish Literature and the Yiddish Book Center . Additional support comes from the Kaplen Foundation and the Felix Posen Fund for the Translation of Modern Yiddish Literature ( Felix Posen Fund for the Translation of Modern Yiddish Literature ). The series includes fictional works, memoirs, dramas and journalistic writings. The books are available both in printed form and as e-books. Editor-in-chief of the New Yiddish Library has been David G. Roskies of the Jewish Theological Seminary and Hebrew University since 1998 .

Jonathan Brent has been the editorial director of Yale University Press since 1997 .
