New York is an unincorporated area in Ballard County , Kentucky , United States . The settlement is very small and consists only of individual houses. There is no official population figure because the results of the census are not broken down into unincorporated areas; in fact, about ten people live permanently in New York.
The settlement is at an altitude of 140 meters above sea level in the extreme southwest of the state.
