The development from a regionally operating company to an internationally operating company took place in the 1970s and 1980s. Neways, which was listed on the Amsterdam Stock Exchange in 1986, experienced strong independent growth in the late 1980s. At the beginning of the 1990s, the focus was on taking over other companies. Neways' activities in Eastern Europe began in 1997, followed by Asia in 1998. Thanks to the relocation of production to the subsidiaries in Eastern Europe and Asia, Neways succeeded in reducing costs considerably - anticipating future trends in the market. At the beginning of the 21st century Neways strengthened its position on the German market and expanded its activities in Eastern Europe and Asia.
