Newnham Castle
Newnham Castle is a ruined castle in the village of Newnham in the English county of Kent .
history
Newnham Castle was a Norman castle probably built by Fulk de Newnham in the mid-12th century during the Civil War of Anarchy . The castle was on a ledge north of the village and was a moth . It had a donjon about 6.2 meters by 6.1 meters and 1.8 meters thick walls with unusually rounded corners. A mound was raised against the donjon , similar to that at Farnham Castle .
