Next Level Games Inc. is a Canadian development studio for computer games based in Vancouver , British Columbia .

history

Next Level Games was founded in October 2002 and specializes in developing games for game consoles . The first release was the sports game NHL Hits Pro for Midway Games . It became known for its work for the Japanese console manufacturer Nintendo , for which it developed three games that were included in the Nintendo Selects series : Mario Strikers Charged Football , Punch Out !! for the Wii and Luigi's Mansion 2 . Apart from the cooperation with Nintendo, Next Level mainly developed licensed games for films ( Spider-Man: Friend or Foe , Transformers: Cybertron Adventures , Captain America: Super Soldier ) and software implementations of board games ( Ticket to Ride , Jungle Speed ).

In 2008, 2009 and 2011 the company was listed as one of the best employers in Canada's Top 100 Employers. On January 9, 2014, the studio announced that it would henceforth exclusively develop for Nintendo.
