Ngarakis is an island in the island state of Palau in the Pacific Ocean .

The island in the territory of the administrative state of Ngiwal (i.e. an administrative area ) is located in a bay of Babeldaob and on the border with the state of Melekeok . Narrow channels lead to the interior of the island, on the one hand north to the mouth of the river Ngeredekuu ( N httal Pass ) and south to Melekeok ( Meteul Pass ). The island lies within the Ngemai Conservation Area . It is connected to the adjacent mainland by Melekeok Causeway and Bridge and Ngiwal Causeway and Bridge . The coastline is characterized by mangroves and the rugged structure of the former reef crown . The island is densely forested and uninhabited.
