Ngebuked

Ngebuked is there on the west coast of the administrative state of Ngaraard (i.e. an administrative area ) in the island state of Palau in the Pacific . The village is the headquarters of the Chief of Maderangebuked .

geography

The site is located on the northern edge of the Ngaraard Mangrove Cronservation Area and has access to the Chelab Dock that extends west into the Palau lagoon. There are numerous stone paths, ruins and tombs in the area. The ruins mostly consist of multi-level platforms where entire clans used to live. The Bai ra Ngeruau is the most important of these remains. There is also an old man-made canal that facilitates the connection to the sea.

Ngebuked has only a few residents. The next settlements are Elab in the north, Ulimang in the southeast and Ngkeklau in the south.
