Nichirō

Nichirō ( Japanese 日 朗 ; * 1245 ; † 1320 ), born in the province of Shimousa , was one of the six older students of Nichiren and nephew of Nisshō .

Like Nisshō, he saw Nichiren as a reformer of the Tendai and founded a prayer hall at the place where Nichiren died, from which the Ikegami Honmon-ji Temple developed in later years . The Ikegami School, also called Hikigayatsu School, of Nichiren Buddhism go back to him.
