from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

News Leben (spelling: NEWS LEBEN ) is an Austrian health magazine of the NEWS publishing group , based in Vienna . It has been published on a monthly basis since 2004. Similar to all magazines of the News Publishing Group, it has a high proportion of images.

history

Due to the past successes of several line extensions (spin-offs) of the then publishing group, a magazine was also published for the readership market of those interested in health topics . Initially as a supplement to News magazine , later as an independent product, “News Leben” appeared on the Austrian magazine market from 2005 onwards.

content

Originally conceived as a pure health title, the magazine concept and the editorial line have been redesigned several times. In 2009 there was a major change in both the editorial team and the rest of the title. Since then, “News Leben” has increasingly focused on preventive medicine and service-oriented content. With practical tips and technically sound, but easily understandable articles, suggestions for a healthy life and lifestyle are to be shown. The core readership has rejuvenated itself since this reorientation towards a lifestyle magazine. This results in a further difference to the existing health titles ( Popular Medicine , Health , Healthier Living, etc.) on the Austrian market, which are more aimed at an older audience.

Publishing group

The News publishing group is 56 percent owned by the Bertelsmann subsidiary Gruner + Jahr , Raiffeisen Zentralbank holds 25.3 percent of the shares, and the founders Wolfgang Fellner and Helmuth Fellner 18.7 percent.

The news group also includes the magazines profil , Format , Trend , woman , 1st , Die Bühne , Autorevue , Yachtrevue , Golfrevue , Xpress , News Exklusiv , Gusto , e-media and TV-Media . Via the Mediaprint publishing house, the news group is economically linked with the high-circulation daily newspapers Kronen Zeitung and Kurier.
