Nicholas Sarwark

Nicholas Sarwark (* 1979 ) is an American politician of the Libertarian Party who succeeded Geoff Neale as chairman of the party in 2014. He was elected to office at the Columbus , Ohio convention .

He has been involved since 1999 in the Libertarian Party, in which he was chairman of the party in Maryland and vice-chairman in Colorado . Among other things, he played an important role in the initiative to legalize marijuana in Colorado, where the drug was legalized following a referendum in 2012 and brought into line with alcohol regulations in the United States. The legalization came into effect on January 1, 2014.

He now lives in Phoenix , Arizona with his wife Valerie and three children Ruth, Joel and Ava , where he works for a family-owned car dealer.
