Nick Bosustow

Nick Onslow Bosustow (born March 28, 1940 in Los Angeles , California ) is an American film producer .

Life

Bosustow was educated at the private Menlo College in Silicon Valley and went in 1968 as a partner in the film production company of his father Stephen Bosustow , who had previously been the owner of United Productions of America . Two years later he produced the animated film Is It Always Right to Be Right? , for which he was awarded an Oscar the following year . 1974 followed a second Oscar nomination for The Legend of John Henry . In the 1980s he produced for CBS four episodes of the series CBS Library . For the episode The Wrong Way Kid , Dick Van Dyke received an Emmy for best actor in a children's show.

Between 1999 and 2001, Bosustow and his wife volunteered for the Peace Corps in Guatemala . Between 2004 and 2006 he worked for the Peace Corps in Suriname . After returning to the United States, he worked as a recruiter for the Peace Corps before retiring in January 2009.
