Nick Crowe (* 1971 on the Isle of Man ) is a former British motorcycle racer who drove sidecars .

Career

Due to his origins, Crowe grew up in direct contact with the Isle of Man TT . In the mid-1990s, he began his racing career as a passenger. In this role he was not entirely unsuccessful. For example, he and his driver Kenny Howles took second place at the 1998 TT. At the beginning of the 2000s, however, he switched to the driver's seat and made his childhood friend Darren Hope his passenger. In 2002 he started as a driver in his home country on the Isle of Man for the first time and won it for the first time three years later. Crowe also participated successfully in other road races using the horse and carts of his compatriot and colleague Dave Molyneux . He still holds the course record on Oliver's Mount . In 2006 Daniel Sayle became his co-driver and he switched to the designs of the Swiss specialists at LCR . In 2007 he could not win the TT, but set a lap record with 116.667 mph (188 km / h). In 2008, Mark Cox became its passenger. The duo was able to win the national championship F2. A year later, Crowe switched to the teams of Honda HM Plant. In total, he can look back on five victories in the prestigious Tourist Trophy.
