Nick Zedd

Nick Zedd (born: James Harding * 8. May 1958 in Takoma Park , Maryland ) is an American Underground - filmmakers and actors of the Cinema of Transgression .

Nick Zedd came to New York City in 1976 to study art at the Pratt Institute . This is where his first no budget film They Eat Scum was made . He combined elements of shock with black humor , filmed on cheap Super 8 and with recognizable amateur actors. He called this style in a 1985 fanzine article, the Cinema of Transgression ( cinema of transgression ). He also worked in various professions for the purpose of earning a living.
