Nico Forster

Nico Forster (born October 7, 1962 in Munich ; † February 16, 2010 at Guttenburg Castle ) was a German manager .

Forster grew up in Munich. He studied philosophy , theater studies and psychology . At the age of 24 he used his father's inheritance to buy and restore a ruined farm. He was a co-founder of the Drillisch company , where he was a member of the management team from 1994 to 1999 and later a member of the Drillisch AG board . Since 1999 he has been a member of the Supervisory Board of Drillisch AG. Nico Forster also ran real estate management for historic buildings. In 1999 he bought Guttenburg Castle , which he restored until 2002. In 2005 he acquired the moated castle Taufkirchen , which was renovated until 2010 and was partly available to the community. Forster died in 2010 due to illness at the age of 47. The heirs sold Taufkirchen Castle to the community in 2016.
