Nico Walser

Nico Walser , actually Norbert Walser (* 1965 in the Allgäu ) is a German musician and comedian.

Life

Walser grew up in Bennigsen . He started out as a rock drummer and then appeared as a singer-songwriter, commissioned composer and front man in pop bands. Among other things, he founded the formations Walser & die Taste Amplifiers (German Rock Prize 1990) and Weltempfänger (1992 to 1997). After a few solo appearances with satirical songs, he switched to cabaret around 2002. He won the Quatsch Comedy Club competition in Berlin (2004) and was nominated in various competitions (including the “NDR Comedy Contest”). Walser founded the two monthly series Lesebühne OraL and Blub Blub Club in Hanover (both 2005 to 2009) and in 2008 initiated the first nationwide reading stage festival . His live programs range between music cabaret, comedy and reading stage literature.

Contributions by Nico Walser have appeared in anthologies (including sex - there was never any talk of fun ), in the online magazine Hartcover.de and in the satirical magazine Titanic . In 2009 his satirical audio book with music Pantoffel Punk was published by the Berlin publisher periplaneta .

Nico Walser lives in the Rhineland.
