Nicolás Ignacio Castillo Mora (born February 14, 1993 in Santiago de Chile ) is a Chilean football player . He is under contract with Club América in Mexico .

Career

Castillo was active for a long time in the Chilean Primera División for the CD Universidad Católica and switched to the Jupiler Pro League for Club Bruges in January 2014 . Castillo made his Jupiler Pro League debut on February 9, 2014 in the game against KRC Genk (1: 3).

During the winter break of the 2014/15 season he was loaned to the German Bundesliga club 1. FSV Mainz 05 until the end of the season; a subsequent purchase option was agreed. He made his debut in the Bundesliga on February 3, 2015 in the away game at Hannover 96 (1: 1). In the further course of the second half of the season, Castillo was affected by injuries, which is why Mainz 05 did not use the purchase option.

For the 2015/16 season, Castillo was awarded to the Serie A promoted Frosinone Calcio . In January 2016 he was awarded back to his youth club CD Universidad Católica . He then played for the UNAM Pumas and Benfica Lisbon . He has been under contract with Club America in Mexico since 2019
