Nicola Horlick

Nicola Karina Christina Horlick (née Gayford ; born December 12, 1960 in Nottingham ) is a British fund manager for hedge funds .

Life

The daughter of Michael Robert Dudley Gayford and Suzanna Christina Victoria Czyzewska studied at the University of Oxford .

From 1983 she worked at SG Warburg & Co.

From 1992 she was head of the pension fund investment business at Morgan Grenfell , where she was very successful. In 1997 the rumor arose that she wanted to join ABN AMRO , after which she was suspended for disloyalty. This outraged her so much that she flew to the parent company Deutsche Bank in Frankfurt. Two days later, she quit and went to Société Générale .

In January 2005 she founded Bramdean Asset Management , where she still works today. Your company is directly affected by the pyramid scheme around Bernard L. Madoff that has been carried out over decades , around ten percent of the capital is said to have been invested there.

In 2013 she founded Glentham Capital which was the first fund: "Glentham Film" to invest in Hollywood films.

She had been married to Timothy Piers Horlick since 1984 and had six children with him. In the British press she is therefore also referred to as Supermum or Superwoman . In 1998, their eldest daughter died of leukemia , and in 2003 the couple divorced. She is second married to the financial journalist Martin Baker.
