The Nicolai Church is a Protestant church in the center of Halver on the Sternberg. It was built in 1783.

history

Presumably there was already a small church at this point around 800. Halver became an independent municipality in 1127. It is mentioned in a document by Archbishop Friedrich I of Cologne . The Romanesque pillar basilica from the 12th or 13th century was expanded in the 15th century in the Gothic style. In 1783 the church was rebuilt. The churchyard was used for burials until 1783.
