Nicolas Bretzel (born May 29, 1999 ) is a German basketball player .

career

Bretzel comes from the youth department of the Bundesliga club Ratiopharm Ulm . In the 2016/17 season he won the championship title with the Weissenhorn Youngstars , but only made one appearance in the course of the season and mostly gained playing experience in the youth team and in the Ulm team in the 2nd regional league. In Weißenhorn, young players were introduced to tasks in the Ulm Bundesliga squad. After promotion to the 2nd Bundesliga ProA  , the team was given a new name (Orange Academy) and was relocated to Ulm. In the first year of membership in the 2. Bundesliga ProA, Bretzel missed relegation with the team. His first appearance in the Ulm Bundesliga team was against Gießen on December 17, 2017.

National team

At the beginning of June 2018, Bretzel was appointed to the German U20 national team.
