Nicolas Grenier

Nicolas Grenier (born April 29, 1975 in Paris ) is a French poet and translator .

Live and act

He studied at the Sorbonne and at the Institut d'études politiques de Paris . His first volume of poetry, Quant à Saint-Germain-des-Prés, trente et un tanka sur la main d'après , was published in 2011.

His poems have been translated into fifteen languages. Grenier himself translated poems by Durs Grünbein , Ernst Jandl , Georg Trakl , Else Lasker-Schüler and the expressionist poet Jakob van Hoddis into French. Together with David Rochefort, he translated poems by Barack Obama .
