Andreas of Arnauld

Andreas von Arnauld de la Perrière (born  October 17, 1970 in Hamburg ) is a German law scholar and university professor .

Life

After graduating from high school in 1989, Andreas von Arnauld studied law in Bonn and Hamburg with a scholarship from the German National Academic Foundation . He finished his studies in 1994 with the 1st state examination. After a doctorate (University of Hamburg, 1998) and legal clerkship (2nd state examination in 1999, OLG Hamburg) , he completed his habilitation in 2005 at the Free University of Berlin with a thesis on the subject of “Legal Security. Perspective approaches to an idée directrice of law ”.

After substituting professorships at the Free University of Berlin (2005/2006) and the Helmut Schmidt University in Hamburg (2006/2007), he took over the professorship for public law , in particular international law and European law , at the Helmut Schmidt University on February 13, 2007. University. On April 1, 2012, the Westfälische Wilhelms-Universität Münster appointed him to its chair for public law, in particular international and European law. Since October 1, 2013, he has held the chair for public law, in particular international and European law, at the Walther Schücking Institute for International Law at the Christian Albrechts University in Kiel .

Von Arnauld is co-editor of the journal Die Friedens-Warte .

Together with Ulrich Hufeld , he represented the Bundestag parliamentary group of Bündnis 90 / Die Grünen in the successful organ dispute proceedings against the federal government for violating the information obligations regarding the European Stability Mechanism (ESM).
