Nicolas Rudolf
Nicolas Rudolf (born September 19, 2001 in Graz ) is an Austrian badminton player .
Career
Nicolas Rudolf was multiple Austrian champion in the classes U13 to U17 between 2014 and 2017. In 2016 he was Styrian master in the general class in singles and doubles. In 2017, at the age of 15, he won the Austrian National Junior Championships (U22) for the first time in men's singles. In 2018 he repeated his success at the national junior championships with victories in men's singles and mixed. The greatest success so far was reaching the quarter-finals in singles at the U17 European Championship in Prague 2017. In the 2017/2018 season he played in the 1st Bundesliga in Austria for the AS Logistik Mödling team and reached fifth place there, where he also participated 12 wins in 17 games was one of the top performers and thus ranked well ahead of his teammates and veterans such as András Németh , Daniel Graßmück , Luka Petrič and Katrin Neudolt in the success statistics as a newcomer . In the following play-offs, he won all four of his encounters and thus played a major role in keeping his team up.
At the Austrian State Championships 2019, Nicolas Rudolf achieved bronze in singles and silver in doubles. At the Austrian Junior Championships in 2019, he defended both titles and won singles and mixed again. At the 2020 state championships, Nicolas again achieved bronze in singles and bronze in doubles.
