Nicolas Schnyder (born June 9, 1987 ) is a Swiss cyclist .

Nicolas Schnyder became Swiss champion in the individual time trial in 2005 in the junior class and he finished second in the overall ranking of the Tour du Pays de Vaud . The next year he drove for the Continental Team Hadimec . After Schnyder became Swiss runner-up in the individual time trial of the U23 class in 2008, he was able to win the title in 2009. At the U23 European Championship in 2009, he finished 15th in the road race . In 2010 he won the only international competition of his career with the overall ranking and a stage of the Tour des Pays de Savoie .

In June 2011 the Union Cycliste Internationale informed Swiss Cycling that a doping sample taken at the Gran Premio Città di Modena by Nicolas Schnyder on September 18, 2010, tested positive for testosterone. The driver requested the analysis of the B sample, which also showed a positive result. The UCI has suspended Nicolas Schnyder from racing with immediate effect. He was later banned for two years.
