Nicolaus von Ahlefeldt

Nicolaus von Ahlefeldt (* 1480 on Seegaard ) was the heir to Seegaard and was the progenitor of the Ahlefeldt lines on Haseldorf and Gelting .

Nicolaus von Ahlefeldt, heir to Seegaart, was the son of Benedikt von Ahlefeldt auf Seegaart (* 1428) and Catharina von Dosenrade and was born in 1480. His wife was Itha, née von Breiden . Through his sons Benedikt and Hans he was the progenitor of the Haseldorf and Gelting lines. The Haseldorfer line, which flourished in several branches, was the most widespread and most important of the von Ahlefeld family and owned 62 estates . The possessions also included mansions, churches and castles. The mansions, estates and castles: Bramstedter Schloss , Bülk , Dollrott , Ehlerstorf , Freienwillen , Grünholz , Güldenstein , Herrenhaus Carlsburg , Kaden , Noer , Schloss Noer , Seestermühe are still among the most important buildings in northern Germany.
