Nicole Hansen , 1999 to 2017 Nicole Burns-Hansen (born November 23, 1973 in Bern ) is a Swiss judge in dance sport and a former professional dancer . She was best known in Austria , in the ORF show Dancing Stars , where she has been a jury member since 2005.

Life

Nicole Hansen was born in Bern as the daughter of Erika and Peter Hansen. From the age of 6 to 14, Hansen took part in ballet , tap and jazz dance courses. She also played in some musicals. From the age of 15, she received dance lessons in her parents' dance school. In the period 1973–1982, they were Swiss champions in standard dances nine times. After this career they opened their own dance school. At the age of 18 Hansen celebrated her first big triumph: She became a Swiss dance master with her dance partner Roland Haller. After graduating from school, she did a commercial apprenticeship. She moved to London in 1994 at the age of 20because she couldn't find a suitable dance partner in Switzerland. In London she got an offer from Donnie Burns , a former Scottish professional dance and 15-time professional world champion in Latin American dance , to perform with him at professional shows with Latin American dances. In 1999 the two married; divorce was filed in March 2008.

Hansen has been a judge in dance sports since 2000. She has also been a juror on the Austrian television show Dancing Stars since 2005 . In 2008 she was a participant in the ORF show Die Überflieger . In April 2009 she also appeared on the satirical Austrian talk show Wir sind Kaiser and in 2011 Austria chooses the most popular dancing star of the series Austria chooses . Since 2017 she has been performing again under the name Nicole Hansen.
